QAKE: Outdoor Conditioning

If you haven’t heard, I have a kick-butt outdoor conditioning class going on at Green Lake throughout the summer. We meet every Tuesday at 7:00 PM and Saturday at 10:30 AM, west of Taco Guaymas on East Green Lake Way. It is called QAKE, named after the four independent trainers who started it (Quetin West, Adriana Medina, Kit Hill, and Elias Roberts). It’s pronounced ‘QUAKE’ – you bring the ‘U’ in QUAKE!

QAKE involves workouts with weighted bar, bosus (which is the half ball) and medicine balls. We also have fun conditioning and agility drills, abdominal and core strength, and yoga. All elements are incorporated into your work outs so that you can keep you resistance training up while you enjoy your cardio out doors. The purpose of the class is to provide a spin on your regiment. Also, it provides focus on your workouts and you do it as a group, so you push yourselves more than you would by yourself. One or two trainers will lead a section, depending on the amount of people, while the other two trainers make sure you have good form and give you tips so you can avoid any possible injuries. We have had a group of 20 and well as small groups of four. Rain or shine we are here for you. Prices are $160 for unlimited class, $130 for 6 class punch card or $25 for a drop in. We come out and have fun! Classes will go until the end of September.
